COSHH Certification

COSHH REGULATIONS AND THE BOFA MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME - EXISTING INSTALLATIONS.

The COSHH Regulations, 2002 4th Edition Regulation 9 Item 1: states that all equipment provided to ensure the health and safety of employees must be maintained regularly.

Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems must be inspected and overhauled at least every fourteen months by competent engineers and Re- Certified to be in first class safe working condition. BOFA provides a Maintenance Program to ensure your company complies with the regulations and receives other warranty and discount benefits.

For existing installations (Systems installed for longer than 3 months) enter into a Maintenance agreement with BOFA and the following will apply:

• You will retain the remainder of the standard 12 months warranty period (if any) but this will be extended another 12 months (up to 24 months in total).
• In the unlikely event of a break down, we normally rectify within 48 Hrs (upon receipt of the machine) to ensure minimal loss of production.
• Replacement filters will be charged at list price less a 10% discount.
• All filters supplied throughout the period of the agreement will be discounted at 10% off list retail price.
• Each annual visit will consist of a visual inspection. Filter Condition checked and replaced as necessary. Gauge operation and seal checked, replaced as necessary. Motor cooling vents cleared of debris. Relief valve operation checked, maintenance work to the total system, including attachments to ducting. Transport velocity, volume flow and/or face velocity readings to be recorded. System checked for leaks. Copies of all maintenance report sheets sent to customer.
• A COSHH Certificate will be issued on successful completion of the service. All test data will be stored at the BOFA head office for 5 years. ( As per COSHH forth edition 2002 regulation 9 page 47 item 4 )
