Select the type and quantity of arms/cowls or down draft
trays required. 50mm diameter are the norm for most operations.
32mm diameter arms are for small working areas with light
soldering (e.g. when using mini irons), whilst 75mm arms are
for heavy duty soldering.
The arms are mounted through the bench
using BOFAs unique self sealing sprung flip top connector
(except 75mm) or onto the bench using a mounting bracket.
The cowls provide a working area of
up to 250mm (10") out from the front of the cowl. An
added advantage is that the iron stand can be positioned at
one end of the cowl to capture the residual fume when the
iron is replaced after use. The down draft tray is ideal where
space is at a premium. The workpiece is positioned on the
tray and all fume generated is pulled down through the matrix
of holes into the extraction unit. |
